Studio DEMO x YoungArts: Image Worlds

Studio DEMO x YoungArts highlights the bold and innovative alumni of YoungArts programs who embrace NEW INC’s spirit of multi-hyphenate creative expression.

Artist Farah Al Qasimi joins designer Arsh Raziuddin for a conversation exploring how images shape contemporary life across cultural, commercial, and digital contexts. Drawing from Al Qasimi’s expansive practice, the discussion will consider how humor, play, and visual excess can unsettle familiar systems of representation while revealing the politics embedded within everyday aesthetics. Together, they will reflect on the ways artists navigate overlapping technical and cultural visual languages to produce new forms of storytelling and critique.

Studio DEMO is a live broadcast hub at the New Museum, open to drop into throughout the day and available via livestream. Featuring NEW INC’s wider creative community, broadcasts take the form of talks, demonstrations, couch conversations, panel discussions, DJ sets, and more. This year, NEW INC partners with peer organizations to build thematic programming for Studio DEMO. Partners include Geidai Project, Onassis Foundation, Rhizome, Serpentine, YoungArts.
