Navild Acosta and Dr. Shadow F. Sosa’s Weaver of Worlds is an augmented reality game quest originally developed to teach the user about the ethnobotanic history of plants. Originally commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture for their 2022 Mondes Nouveau, this project stems from the award-winning work of Dr. Shadow F. Sosa and Navild Acosta called Black Power Naps, a sculptural installation, vibrational device, and curatorial initiative that reclaims laziness and idleness as power. With a solo show at the Museum of Modern Art in 2023 and a Creative Capital Award, Acosta’s work has garnered global attention and acclaim.
