Maelys Monga

Divine Times Collective

Maelys Monga is a cultural producer, installation artist, and sound practitioner whose work centers reflective space-making, collective memory, and diasporic healing. Her practice is rooted in participatory altar installations and sound-based works that invite audiences to engage with ancestry, inner-child reflection, and the transmission of personal and collective histories.

Through her nonprofit organization, Divine Times Collective, she leads a community-rooted cultural platform that brings together artists, healers, and cultural workers through festivals, retreats, cultural tours, publications, and public programming. Across these contexts, Monga explores how ritual, intimacy, and care can operate within institutional and public-facing environments while remaining culturally specific and accessible.

Monga’s work spans site-specific installations, time-based media, and sound composition, often integrating community-authored material as a core element of the work itself. Her work emphasizes collaboration, authorship, and sustainability, positioning reflection and dreaming not as private acts, but as shared cultural experiences.
