Darold “FERG” Brown
Darold “FERG” Brown was born into Harlem’s creative legacy, attending New York’s High School of Art and Design before interning at Rocawear and Sean John and eventually co-founding the influential A$AP Mob collective. Originally the group’s lead clothing designer, FERG emerged as one of hip-hop’s most distinctive voices alongside A$AP Rocky, with acclaimed projects including Trap Lord and Always Strive and Prosper, both of which debuted in the Billboard Top Ten. His 2020 single “Move Ya Hips” featuring Nicki Minaj became a Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 hit, cementing his place as one of the defining artists of his generation.
A multidisciplinary artist, FERG’s creative practice extends beyond music into painting, fashion, and cultural programming. A lifelong painter and visual artist, he created the self-portrait artwork for his 2024 album Darold, one of his most personal artistic statements to date. Rooted in identity, spirituality, and his Harlem upbringing, his visual work has become an essential extension of his creative universe.
FERG’s influence spans art, fashion, and music, where he continues to evolve as a cultural architect bridging Harlem authenticity with contemporary culture. He has collaborated with global brands including Adidas, Hennessy, Timberland, New Era, and Tiffany & Co., becoming one of the first hip-hop artists to collaborate with the luxury jeweler. In 2024, he relaunched FERG Apparel—the iconic Harlem fashion label founded by his father, Darold Ferguson Sr.—through collaborations with Awake NY and Vanson. In 2025, he introduced Flo Fair, a one-day wellness and culture experience centered around movement, creativity, and community. Whether through painting, music, fashion, or live curation, FERG approaches creativity as world-building, creating immersive experiences that resonate across generations and disciplines.
