Daphne Frias
Daphne Frias, a 27-year-old unapologetic Latina and disability rights advocate, is redefining activism. Living with Cerebral Palsy and using a wheelchair, she champions inclusivity across social movements. As the former New York State Director for March For Our Lives, Daphne helped pass over 15 state laws combating gun violence.
In 2020, she founded Box the Ballot (BTB), mobilizing youth nationwide to collect over 20,000 absentee ballots during the midterms. Her innovative leadership earned her the Agente de Cambio award at Univision’s Premios Juventud in 2021.
Daphne’s climate advocacy bridges disability rights and environmental justice. She was a spokesperson for the 2019 global climate strikes and a panelist at the New York Times Climate Hub with Emma Watson.
Named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 North America List (Social Impact) for 2025, Daphne’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post , NPR, and more, inspiring a more inclusive, sustainable world.
