Ash Rucker is a multidisciplinary performance artist, educator activist and founder of non-for-profit organization Therapart. As a trained yoga, meditation and movement educator her work focuses on exploration of movement and art as a form of healing. Through her organization Therapart, Rucker works with people of the world, primarily focused on previously incarcerated youth, facilitating somatic based movement, meditation and art therapy workshops in NYC and in LA. Rucker is a graduate of Buffalo State University and is has recently participated in the Behind the Bars fellowship at Columbia University and the Institute for Transformative Mentoring at the New School and is a current artist in resident at the Laundry Mat Project.
