Alexandra Cunningham Cameron

Alexandra Cunningham Cameron is a curator, writer and museum worker based in New York. She currently sits as the curator of contemporary design and Hintz Secretarial Scholar at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum where she will co-curate the upcoming Smithsonian Design Triennial. Her career has spanned criticism, publishing, public art and consulting across sectors, and she has served as editor in chief of independent arts journal The Miami Rail and Creative Director of the Design Miami/ fairs. Cameron has organized a broad range of programs including international events, commissions and award-winning exhibitions with artists, designers and architects such as Willi Smith, Duro Olowu, SITE, Terrol Dew Johnson, Aranda\Lasch, Yona Friedman, Dozie Kanu, Philippe Malouin, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and Jamilah Sabur. Her work has appeared in publications such as the New York Times, Financial Times and PIN UP in addition to catalogues, journals, and monographs. She is the editor of Willi Smith: Street Couture (Rizzoli Electa, 2020) and Making Home (MIT Press, 2025).
